Excellent authentic New Orleans creole food. I had a split plate with red beans smoked sausage (with a good smoky flavor) and chicken maque choux. Both were full of flavor and together made a good sized meal for dinner. They serve warm French bread with a butter garlic creole spread which helped make the bread especially tasty. Service is extremely fast and took only about three minutes to get my order and the folks there are very friendly and accommodating. Not a huge selection but I understand that the menu items change daily or weekly but they still had quite a few items to choose. If you like delicious Cajun food at very reasonable prices then Yats is the place for you.

Yats is delicious and has been a go-to of mine since 2003, be it the original N College Ave location or any other franchise locations. Quick service, plenty of standard meat, vegetarian and even vegan options to choose from. Some locations serve beers. Highly recommended.

This place is an Indy staple. What I love most about Yats is that no matter which one you go to you know the staff are going to be helpful and eager to explain what is in each dish. Despite the menu changing daily the flavors are never off or seem to vary from location to location. There are several types of hot sauces available as well as some Cajun style seasoning to add to your dish. Sometimes there are dessert options available from local confectioners.

Always a pleasant change. Took my kids for the first time. They enjoyed anything that had corn since it was sweet.

Slow cooked food served fast at a fair price by friendly workers. I love that it's such a healthy alternative to fast food. They take whole foods you would use at home to make all the dishes they serve. For the price you just can't beat it. A much higher quality meal than I could get anyplace else and I'm in and out in a few minutes. That's a five star experience in my book.

I love Yats! Good amount of food for the price. Great flavor, a fun atmosphere, and always fast. Try the pints and quarts for a good quick family take-out.

This place is amazing. I used to visit New Orleans every weekend and I grew up in the South. This is the closest I have been able to come to food from home. It helps cure my homesickness a little bit. We usually go here about once a month. The food has always been good and you usually have your food within 5 minutes of ordering. I will always recommend this place.

Chili Cheese Étouffée with Crawfish. I don't need to say much more than that - but do your taste buds a favor, and order at least a half plate of that! For the other half, pick anything else on the board - it's GREAT. Extra bread or peanut butter pie if you still have room afterward - (not likely to have room with the generous portions!) As of last week, it was carry-out / dine outside only; but I appreciate the safety-minded approach in these difficult times! Thanks for being here in Avon!

SO DELICIOUS! I tried the two vegetarian items (one vegetarian, one vegan) and they were delicious! Also the bread is amazing. I don't know what they put on it, but I got a double order of it and didn't regret that decision. And in case you are confused about the menu, the "entree" items are served over rice and you can choose between one single item or split between two items. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in the southwest Indianapolis area, I come here every sunday night and almost always have the gumbo, or red beans and smoked sausage. The people are nice, the food comes probably one minute after you order it and it tastes divine.

They are fantastic. I have celiac and when you ask them to not give you any bread, they tell the kitchen through the microphone “GLUTEN FREE.” They have the items on their menu very clearly labeled for people who have any dietary restrictions or allergies. It so nice when a restaurant actually takes it seriously.

Not the best Cajun I've ever had. Served lightning fast. Taste was decent but everything looked the same. The red beans and rice had some decent flavor, but no depth. Still for the price, it's not bad.

I got the crawfish etufee and the black bean chili it was fantastic and as always the staff is super helpful and laid back

Nice place to get a warm meal that isn't your typical fast food meal bag. Taste like real food made in real kitchen by real people. This foods amazing especially with temperature being less than freezing for next week or so. This place is good year round but it's extra good when it's cold out

First time trying Yats, I was a little nervous because I don't do well with spicy food. But lemme ya, it was worth it all! And surprisingly not very expensive. Just wish the portions had more rice.

Yats offers a different food experience that is served up quickly! Menu includes spicy dishes, but also neutral for certain palates. Not the original Yats, but good for a taste of New Orleans.

This place offers a change of pace...can get spicy or mild New Orleans-style dishes served quickly. Prices are mid-range. Atmosphere is not like the original on College Ave., but food is the same quality!

Yats in Avon is my little respite from the endless/craptastic sea of Corporate Restaurants !! Eclectic/ Funky environment with a friendly & efficient staff !! Their food is inexpensive, consistent & downright addictive !!!Currently obsessed with their drunken Chicken!!Added bonus *** they have gluten free, dairy free & vegan options & all are crazy good... the vegan chili is amazing !!!

Decided to try something new for Father's Day, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! Not expensive at all either. Make sure you get the extra piece of bread. Food comes out in an instant which is great for those in a hurry.

Great athomosphere as everyone mentioned. Friendly staffs. Gumbo feels a bit blend but they have numerous self-service sauces and spices to make it your own. I will surely come here again to try other entrees on their menu.

Seriously good cajun food. Atmosphere is very laid back and casual. Jambalaya and drunken chicken were both delicious. Sorry about the lack of a picture. Once I started I couldn't stop to get one. I also recommend getting extra bread. I could go and just eat bread. Staff is super friendly. They serve beer and wine also.
